Reduce the hassle of unexpected and inconvenient furnace breakdown by scheduling a furnace check-up.

Maintaining the furnace not only extends the life of the furnace, but it may also reduce your heating bill because of increased efficiency of the furnace.  Home heating systems that aren’t properly maintained may be less than 50 percent efficient. 

A furnace break-down is the last thing you want to be dealing with in the middle of a winter night.  (Though, TODDCO Inc. does have 24 hour emergency service.)

Here is a checklist of services we perform with each maintenance check:

  • Safety test for carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Maintain air filters and re-install
  • Check gas pilot safety system and service as required
  • Maintain the motor and fan
  • Check condition, tension and alignment of fan belt and perform required adjustments
  • Service burners and set for proper combustion & ignition
  • Check gas piping to furnace
  • Inspect the heat exchanger
  • Lubricate the blower motor
  • Adjust belts and drives
  • Check gas valve operation
  • Clean and adjust the pilot
  • Check the thermocouple
  • Check and calibrate the thermostat
  • Check the filters
  • Check the humidifier (if applicable)

Thanksgiving is a time of reflection for all we are thankful for.  At TODDCO Inc., we are thankful for all of our customers who have entrusted us with their business.  Whether we have remodeled your home, repaired your air conditioner, poured concrete for your driveway, installed siding or provided another service, we thank you for your business.
We are honored that a large portion of our business is from repeat customers and referrals from satisfied clients. We have made many friends throughout the years and recognize that our satisfied clients are the key to our success! 
 
Thank you for keeping our business strong for the past nine years.  We appreciate every job—big or small.  Through hard economic times, we’ve kept all of our employees working and haven’t laid off a single team member. For that, we are very thankful.

Don’t miss out on energy savings tax credits.

As we start the countdown to upcoming holidays, I encourage you to watch the calendar for the deadline for consumer tax incentives.  Qualifying products purchased between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 are eligible for a tax credit equal to 30 percent of the product cost.  (Installation is not included.)  TODDCO Inc. will provide you with an itemized invoice for your tax records.

Consumers who purchase and install specific products, such as energy-efficient windows, doors and heating and cooling equipment in existing homes can receive a tax credit for 30% of the cost, up to $1,500, for improvements “placed in service” starting January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2010. See EnergyStar.gov’s Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency for a complete summary of energy efficiency tax credits available to consumers.  I also urge you to see the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) for information on federal, state, local and utility incentives.

I wasn’t a member of Facebook a few months ago…until someone suggested that our company set up a Facebook page on the social networking site to  to give our customers more access to information about TODDCO Inc.‘s activities and share photos of our most recent projects.
