Don’t miss out on energy savings tax credits.

As we start the countdown to upcoming holidays, I encourage you to watch the calendar for the deadline for consumer tax incentives.  Qualifying products purchased between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 are eligible for a tax credit equal to 30 percent of the product cost.  (Installation is not included.)  TODDCO Inc. will provide you with an itemized invoice for your tax records.

Consumers who purchase and install specific products, such as energy-efficient windows, doors and heating and cooling equipment in existing homes can receive a tax credit for 30% of the cost, up to $1,500, for improvements “placed in service” starting January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2010. See EnergyStar.gov’s Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency for a complete summary of energy efficiency tax credits available to consumers.  I also urge you to see the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) for information on federal, state, local and utility incentives.

I encourage you to consult a tax professional with specific questions.

As an added benefit, energy-efficient products provide many benefits such as lower energy bills, increased indoor comfort and reduced air pollution.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity.  Call TODDCO Inc. at (219) 838-7750 for a free estimate on your home improvements.  Calling us NOW could save you up to $1500 on your project completed by December 31, 2010.
